The 2013-2014 Fund a Need program supported the introduction of 1:1 laptops in the Upper School, provided sets of iPads for the lower classrooms, and increased our school's wifi network capacity.  Today, our kids are using classroom technologies that greatly increase their capacity to Learn and Lead in the 21st century.  The success of our students depends upon our willingness and ability to provide them with access to technologically relevant skills and tools.  The generous support of our community is proof that we are "connected" and ready to support our students in every way.

The focus of our upper school tech program is two fold. First students must learn to be responsible online users. The Presentation School has partnered with Common Sense Media to help teach the students safe and proper online etiquette.

Common Sense Media

  • Internet Safety
  • Cyber Bullying (what is it? how do we prevent it?)
  • Correctly citing sources on reports (give credit where credit is due)
  • How to do a search more effectively (key words)

Technology is also meant to enhance our learning and expand opportunities for students to explore interests. Programs through Google will teach the students how effectively search online for today’s and future projects in all all their classes. We are getting them prepared for high school, college and beyond.
