Born and raised in southern Louisiana, Lauren is a graduate of Rhodes College in Memphis, TN, with a B.A. in French and a minor in Education. She went on to earn a M.Ed. from Vanderbilt University's Peabody College.

Most recently, Lauren was a teacher at St. Mary's Episcopal School in Memphis where she founded St. Mary's Place, a Reggioinspired program for two and threeyearolds. She later served as a Kindergarten teacher at St. Mary's where she continued to develop her passion for emergent curriculum. Lauren brings with her an enthusiasm for progressive, kidcentered instruction, as well as a warm, loving and approachable personality.

Lauren and her husband John live in Napa, where John is the principal at JustinSiena High School. Their two children, Vivian and Benjamin are loving their first year at Presentation. Outside of the classroom, Lauren can be found with either a camera or paint brush in hand or exploring the Bay Area with her family.

*Lauren will enjoy the seasoned and loving support of Assistant Teacher Amy Dougherty (Ms. Amy) in the kindergarten classroom. Amy knows the kids of Presentation as well as anyone, and we are honored to have her in such a key position for our youngest learners. With Lauren and Amy, Presentation School's kindergarten will remain THE kindergarten of choice in Sonoma.
