Scotty Walthard joined the Presentation School in 2013 and is a Certified Google Educator. Along with teaching Math to the 6th graders, Technology courses in the MIddle School Program, he is making sure every student understands and knows how to keyboard (typing) before graduating from the Presentation School.
Scotty is the STEM Coordinator for our STEM Team here at Presentation. After working side by side with Mary Favaro the last two years, Scotty is now leading our STEM program and has teamed up with the San Jose Tech Museum to bring STEM as a year long learning experience in our Science, Math and Technology classes. Scotty also is the school’s Technology Educationalist. In this role, he is supporting the teachers and students in all areas in their classrooms by making sure Technology is operational and working with Teachers and Students with assignments and projects that include online technology. Scotty’s role also includes educating the teachers and students on all of our online resources and curriculum.
Scotty moved to Sonoma in 1993 after graduating from CSU Fresno with a degree in Business Administration and Urban Land Economics. Two of his children are graduates of The Presentation School and his youngest daughter is now in the 7th-grade at Presentation.
