Currently the Accounting Manager for The Presentation School, Virginia A. Turner recently earned her Master’s in Nonprofit Administration from University of San Francisco, has a B.A. degree from U.C. Berkeley, and was awarded her Associates of Science degree in Accounting with honors from Napa Valley College.
Ms. Turner has been in the Accounting field for 10+ years, has been an Accountant for five years, and has professional experience with both for profit non-profit business entities. In her current role at The Presentation School she was instrumental in streamlining and building out the HR function for the school utilizing a 3rd party vendor and continues to support this initiative. As part of the accreditation team this past school year and for her Master's program, Turner developed a Resource Allocation Program (RAP) as a benchmark measurement for all future WASC assessments with a focus on how resource allocations support the school's mission and values. As the Accounting Coordinator for The Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco (12+ years) she assisted the department in obtaining excellent audits for the twelve year period working closely with external auditors. In her capacity as Assistant Development Director for The St. Vincent de Paul Society of San Francisco, notable achievements include obtaining a $2MM grant from the Office of Criminal Justice services for a San Francisco based women’s shelter.
A strong believer in servant leadership, Virginia continues to be active in community service through Alpha Sigma Nu and her local Phi Theta Kappa chapters and by providing pro bono services to a number of nonprofit organisations
