Katherine Linder, PhD
Currently the parent of a 1st grader at The Presentation School and a three-year old, Katherine has 15 years of experience in philanthropy and strategy consulting through a career that included working at The Boston Foundation as a Senior Philanthropic Advisor for The Philanthropic Initiative (TPI). With a national client base, Katherine worked with foundations, families, and companies to help them increase the impact of their philanthropy and to help them become more innovative and strategic in their efforts to support sustained social impact. Her work included strategic planning, advising in best practices and governance, assessing models for instigating positive change, and facilitating the development and sustainability of foundations across multiple generations.
Prior to joining TPI, Katherine was a strategy consultant specializing in the media, technology and communications sectors. Based in London, she worked with organizations including the BBC, Arts Council England, Red Bee Media, AOL, and Disney. Katherine graduated summa cum laude in History from Princeton University, where she received the PynePrize, the highest general distinction Princeton confers on an undergraduate. Following Princeton, Katherine attended Cambridge University where she received a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in History. While a graduate student, Katherine served on the General Board of Cambridge University.
